Obituary for Frances Marie Simon (Norwood)
She was born on May 6, 1940 in Muskegon, daughter of the late Joseph E. Norwood and Beulah M. (Overly) Moravec. Frances married James S. Simon in March of 1961 in Muskegon. He preceded her in death on April 1, 1991.
Frances was a happy employee of the Moka Corporation in Muskegon for 25 years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Hart. She enjoyed reading, taking bus trips to concerts and doing craft projects.
Frances is survived by her daughter, Lee Ann (Jay) Ball of Hart; son, James “Jay” Simon of China; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews and cousins.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, James; 2 daughters, Kathleen Moore and Christina Young.
Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at 4:00PM on Monday July 18, 2016 at the Apostolic Christian Tabernacle Church in Ludington with Pastor Earl Carrier officiating. The family will receive friends for visitation from 3:00PM until time of service.
