William Allen Schoedel, Age 54 of Manistee died Saturday, December 18, 2021 at Munson Healthcare Manistee Hospital.
He was born on September 12, 1967 in Manistee the son of the late Charles E. & Patricia J. (Johnson) Schoedel. He was a graduate of Onekama High School Class of 1985.
Bill was employed as a millwright at Packaging Corporation of America and was currently serving as President of United Steel Workers Union Local #12585.
He loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter, both rifle and archery, and often traveled to Kansas to hunt. He also enjoyed camping, photography, cutting firewood, and music, especially the Scottville Clown Band. He loved sunsets & "Busch Light". Bill also officiated at weddings and funerals for close family friends.
Survivors include his girlfriend; Sherry Bromley, two brothers; Charlie (Katie) Schoedel and John (Kathy) Schoedel, one sister; P.J. Kenyon, numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, & great nephews, and his canine companion; Dio, who always cut wood with him.
A Celebration of Life will be held Thursday, December 23, 2021 at 7:00 PM at the Oak Grove Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Manistee. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 10:30 AM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM until time of service.
Memorials in Bill's name may be directed to the Scottville Clown Band.
