William E. Lytle, age 99 of Manistee died Sunday, June 28, 2026 at MediLodge of Ludington.
He was born on May 8, 1927 in Logan, Ohio the son of the late Lawrence W. & Clara L. (Peisert) Lytle. Bill was a veteran of the United States Army serving with the Army of Occupation in Italy during World War II. He began his lifelong career as a cement truck driver with Sievert Brothers. He was an active member of the Manistee Clan Muzzle Loading Club and was a hunter in his younger years.
William was a devoted family man, spending time with his siblings and their children. He is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parent’s he was preceded in death by brothers; George, Kenneth, Harold, & Lawrence Lytle, Jr. and sister Juanita Cole and nephews Lenard Lytle, Zane Cole, & Dewayne Lytle.
A Celebration of Life will be held Thursday, July 9, 2026 at 3:00 PM at the Oak Grove Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Manistee with Pastor Ray Haner officiating, followed by Military Honors by the Manistee United Veteran’s Council Honor Guard. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2:00 PM until time of service.
