Wayne Robert Sell, age 70, of Manistee, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, July 15, 2025.

He was born on November 25, 1954, in Manistee, son of the late Charles and Ruth (Campbell) Sell. Wayne was a member of the Manistee High School class of 1973, then attended Northland College in Ashland, Wisconsin, graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in environmental science.

Wayne was an avid fisherman (without his pole in the waters of Portage Lake, the perch population will greatly increase); he enjoyed gardening, bird watching, and reading. Wayne was an active member of AA for 20-plus years where he had many encouraging and supportive friends.

Wayne is survived by his son, Jesse (Jessica) Ziobron; brothers, Charles (Bev) Sell and Ron Sell; sister, Ann (Jim) Kohn; grandchildren, Shawn and Marziah; great-grandchildren, Haisley, Kyleigh, Lincoln, and Iris; nephews, Jacob (Jodi) Sell, Michael (Sue) Sell, and Brett (Cori) Huston; nieces, Audra (Bill) English, and Anna (Brad) Doutree; and many precious great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Marziah; grandson, David; and niece, Jori Huston.

A Celebration of Life for Wayne will be held Sunday, September 14, 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Lions Pavilion at First Street Beach in Manistee. Casual Dress.

The family has entrusted funeral arrangements with Oak Grove Funeral Home & Cremation Center of Manistee.
