Obituary

Wanda S. (Harber) Wiggins, 55, of Copemish, Michigan, passed away on February 26, 2022, surrounded by loved ones. Wanda was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana on October 23, 1966, daughter of Roger and Patricia (Chaney) Harber.
Wanda grew up in Harlan, Indiana. She graduated from Woodland High School, Class of 1985, and went on to serve her country in the US Army as a Telecommunications Operator. She served at Fort Gordon, GA, Fort Richardson, AK, and Fort Polk, LA. After 3 years, Wanda left the service to be a mother. Wanda reenlisted in the US Army in 1990 and served another seven years as a cook. Wanda served at Herzo Base in Germany, as well as Fort Sill, OK and Scofield Barracks, HI. It was while stationed in Germany that she met her husband, Maxwell. Wanda was honorably discharged in 1997 and remained proud of her service in the military throughout her life. After being discharged, Wanda earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Business Administration from Baker College in Cadillac, Michigan and became a talented accountant.
On June 7, 1991, Wanda married Maxwell Wiggins in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Wanda and Maxwell enjoyed 30 years together before her passing. They loved to dance – it was their favorite thing to do together. They could often be found hiking together while stationed in Germany and Hawaii, traveling together, and camping with their children. Wanda especially loved dogsledding, yelling at the TV during Dolphins games, and baking delicious cakes and pastries in her kitchen. She was passionate about spending time with her grandchildren. Wanda could often be found knitting, putting together puzzles, going to concerts, and listening to her favorite country music. Wanda was very family oriented and would never turn down spending time with her family and friends.
Wanda is survived by her husband, Maxwell Wiggins, and children Ike Wiggins of Copemish, Michigan; Erik Wiggins and Kristy Wiggins of Lawton, Oklahoma; Latasha Decker of Chino Valley, Arizona; Michael Wiggins of Copemish, Michigan; and Brittannie (Trevor) Pickard of Mount Sherman, Kentucky; Grandchildren Garrett, Kalani, Genesys, Mackenzie, Blayd, Eddie, Journy, Ian, Mary Gene, Alenka, Violet, Kelley, Oliver, Genevieve, and Tristan; mother Patricia Harber of Fort Wayne, Indiana; siblings Dawn (Scott) Wolf of Fort Wayne; Roger Harber Jr. of Wabash, Indiana; Debbie (Mark) LoPresti of Gadsden, Alabama; Keith (Danielle) Harber of Fort Wayne; Arlene Walter of Manistee, Michigan; Luetta Brough of Washington, Michigan; Janet Wiggins of Gladwin, Michigan; June Haack of Lyon Township, Michigan; Donna Meier of White Plains, Maryland; Priscilla Staffeld of Manistee, Michigan; Michael Wiggins of Melbourne, Florida; and Sallie (Keith) Rengert of Richmond, Michigan; and nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
