Vida Allene Raymond, age 96 of Brethren, Michigan passed away Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 27, 2025 peacefully at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City with her family with her.

She was born in Ohio on June 29, 1929 the daughter of the late Ollie & Nellie (Snow) Waldrop. She married Harold (Bud) Raymond in 1957 at Coldwater, Michigan. While in Coldwater she graduated from Nursing School and was active in the Moose Lodge. Allene moved to the Wellston area where she, along with her husband Bud became active members of the Wellston Community. Allene joined the Wellston Improvement Association and was an active member for several years.

Allene enjoyed the many activities of living in Northern Michigan. Her many interests included; archery, reading, quilting, among many other activities. Her husband preceded her in death on May 5, 1986. Later in life her son Bob moved her into his family home where she enjoyed life with her many grandchildren that included many family game nights.

Survivors include three children; Sherrill Hooley of the UK, Ronald (Kathy) Ferolito of Manistee, and Robert (Dawn) Raymond of Brethren, her brother; Delmar Waldrop of Coldwater, MI, her sister; Lettie of Oklahoma, grandchildren; Jessica (Peter) Knight of the UK, Andrea (James Cook) Raymond and Alisha Raymond of Brethren, Dustin (Michelle) Raymond of Chase, MI, Tabitha (Dan) Knudsen, Tim & Dale Guenthardt all of Manistee, & Peyton & Collin Peters, of Interlochen, great grandchildren; Beau & Chloe Gladding, Ethan, Ashely & Jaiyda Raymond, Gwendelynn Cook, Shannon Meredith, Brian & Mycheal Campbell, Ean & Eliza Guenthardt, Marcia Lynn Knight, Annabele ,Andrew, & Abby Knudsen, Emily & Dillon, and great-great grandchildren; Olivia & Amelia Galloway, and Bodhi & James Scott Szalkowski

She was also preceded in death by a two granddaughters; Marcia Louise Dewey & Ashley Louise Raymond.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date with interment in the Wellston Cemetery.
