Shirley Ruth White, age 82, of Kaleva, passed away on Wednesday April 13, 2022, at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City, MI.
Shirley was born on August 10, 1939, in Rapid City, South Dakota, the daughter of the late Cortes Howard and Mae Frieda (Bartch) Wellman. She graduated from Rapid City High School. On June 11, 1989, in Kaleva, MI Shirley married Willie White at Bethany Lutheran Church.
Shirley was a homemaker and was a wonderful one at that. She really enjoyed working on word puzzles.
She is survived by her daughter Joan Anderson; grandchildren William Stevenson and Shannon Stevenson; great granddaughters Kesha Stevenson and Kassidy Stevenson; great-great grandson Elijah; sister Clara Naucle; and many other family and friends.
Besides for her parents and husband, Willie, Shirley was preceded in death by her brothers Harold Wellman and William Wellman; sisters Doris Marvel and Etta Oomen; and her first husband Jim Anderson.
According to her wishes, no services will be held.
