Sherwyn Dale Clarke, age 60 of Manistee, passed away peacefully in the comfort of his home on Wednesday May 31, 2023.

On November 17, 1962, Sherwyn was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan, the son of Sherwyn Dale Clarke and Cheryl Ann Lamb. He married Lisa Ann (Bishop) Carter on August 13, 2016, in Manistee at New Life Tabernacle.

Sherwyn had been employed in food services for several years where he had worked at Wendy's in Manistee for 17 years and was a chef at the Little River Casino Resort for 4 years. His employment history concludes with janitorial services with Kellermeyer Bergeson's Service where he worked for 3 years.

He was a member of New Life Tabernacle UPCI.

Sherwyn enjoyed spending time volunteering at Love Inc. of Manistee County and at ECHO His Love's Safe Harbor of Manistee Homeless Shelter. He also loved hunting and fishing. He was the proud owner of his dog, Sadie.

He is survived by his wife Lisa Ann Clarke of Manistee; his stepfather Alan (Pops) Knapp of Manistee; his mother Cheryl Knapp of Manistee; Stepmother Susan Clarke of Grand Rapids; brothers John (Lisa) Clarke of Lowell and Christopher (Kassandra) Clarke of Grand Rapids; sisters Brandi DeJong-Belding of Lowell, Michelle Clarke of Grand Rapids, and Autumn Vandermolen of Grand Rapids; and many nieces and nephews.

Sherwyn was preceded in death by his father Sherwyn Dale Clarke Sr., his uncle Robert "Bob" Lamb, and his maternal and paternal grandparents.

A Memorial Service for Sherwyn will be held on Friday June 9, 2023, at 5:30 P.M. at New Life Tabernacle, 449 5th Street, Manistee, MI 49660, with Jeff Carter officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to ECHO His Love's Safe Harbor of Manistee County Homeless Shelter, P.O. Box 28, Manistee, MI 49660.
