Ruth Ann Parsons, Age 70 of Wellston, Michigan died Tuesday, June 4, 2024, at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City following a short battle with cancer.

Ruth was born on July 24, 1953, and was a graduate of Evart High School, Class of 1971. On September 2, 1977, she married Lonnie E. Parsons in Hastings.

She had been employed as general manager at the Dublin General Store for 18 years, Ruth, who enjoyed knitting, crocheting, gardening, and feeding the birds also had attended Irons Union Church. She was a loving wife, mother, & friend. She devoted her time to her family and being with the ones she loved.

Survivors include her loving husband, Lonnie Parsons; children Sara (Jeff Read) Parsons, Rachel (Matthew) Sly, and Josh Parsons; grandchildren Austin Horacek, Nathan, Horacek, Talyana Read, Emily Sly, Isabelle Sly, Abigail Sly, Joshua Parsons, Jr., Julia Parsons, Azalea Parsons, & Maximus Parsons; and her stepmother Joyce Culp.

She was preceded in death by her father Virgil Culp, brother Vincent Culp, and grandparents Fern & Luther Culp.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, June 8, 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Oak Grove Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Manistee with Pastor Mark Carson officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 PM until the time of service.

Expressions of sympathy may be directed to the family to assist with expenses.
