Obituary

Ronald Glen Schindlbeck, age 85, passed away on Thursday December 16, 2021, in the comfort of his home in Manistee, Michigan.

Ronald was born on June 8, 1936, in Aurora, Illinois, the son of late Albert and Ethel (Olson) Schindlbeck. He attended Muskegon Heights High School. Ronald went on to proudly serve his country in the United States Army National Guard before being honorably discharged.

Ronald married Marva Swain Schindlbeck and they had a loving marriage for over 66 wonderful years.

He was employed at Breneman-Hartshorn and Quality Plating in Muskegon, MI

There were many things that Ronald enjoyed doing. He loved camping with his family, fishing, and golfing. He also loved taking care of his lawn and enjoyed feeding the birds in his yard.

Ronald is survived by his loving wife, Marva and son Craig (Pamela) Schindlbeck of Manistee, MI; sister Debra (Ralph) Shields of Walhalla, MI; brother Daniel (Karen) Schindlbeck of Muskegon; grandchildren Anthony (Lindsay) Schindlbeck of Manistee, Alicia (Aric) Kaufmann of New Baltimore, MI, Sarah Kokx of Monroe, MI, and Scott Schindlbeck of Muskegon, MI. Ronald is also survived by five great-grandchildren and many other family members.

Besides for his parents, Ronald is preceded in death by his son Wayne Schindlbeck and his brother Donald Schindlbeck.

A celebration of life for Ronald is to be held in June 2022 in Manistee, M.I. Please consider Hospice of Michigan for contributions.
