Ronald Lee Marsh, age 73 of Manistee, passed away on Saturday January 11, 2025, in the comfort of his home.

Born on March 1, 1951, in Toledo, Ohio, Ron was the son of Homer and Maxine (Giebel) Marsh. After graduating from high school, Ron attended Bowling Green State University where he obtained his bachelor's degree in 1974. He then went on to the University of Toledo and received his master's degree in 1980.

Ron married Karen Louise Neff on October 25, 1980, in Westerville, OH at the Church of the Messiah United Methodist Church. They shared 44 years together.

He was a camp manager for 4-H Camp Palmer from 1974 until 1993 and then at Camp Rivervale from 1993 to 2003.

Ron was a supervisor at Mitchell Indiana City Parks from 2003 to 2005 and a paraprofessional at Mitchell Community Schools from 2006 until 2018.

Ron was a member of Bridges Church of Manistee.

In the winter months, Ron was a Ski Instructor at Paoli Peaks Ski Resort from 2003 to 2018. He was interested in history, loved being in nature, and enjoyed going to auctions.

Ron is survived by his wife Karen Marsh of Manistee; sons Matt (Jordan) Marsh of Longmont, CO, Steve Marsh of Salina, KS, and Brad Marsh of Bedford, IN; brothers Dave (Pam) Marsh of Swanton, OH and Fran (Sharon) Marsh of Evansville, IN; and many other family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Homer and Maxine.

A Memorial Service for Ron will be held on Friday January 17, 2025, at 12:00 noon at Bridges Church of Manistee with hospice Chaplain Dave Guyor officiating. Family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until the time of service.
