Robert "Bob" William Ross, age 61 of Wellston, Michigan died Monday, July 28, 2025 at Corewell Health Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

He was born on March 19, 1964 in Portland, Oregon the son of Robert Earl & Emma Jean (Dayton) Ross. He married Sally Jo Grice on November 2, 2018 in Manistee, Michigan.

Bob enlisted into the Army at age of 17. He was a Veteran of the Army & Army National Guard from 1981 until his discharge in April of 1992. He worked in propane distribution for Fischer LP since 1994.

Bob was a beloved member of his community. A bigger than life (in his bib overalls) man who enjoyed chatting, long drives, playing scrabble, reading/listening to audiobooks, and hanging out on the back deck of his house. A charming, witty, full of life guy who will be forever missed and loved.

Survivors include his wife; Sally Ross, his father; Robert(Carolyn) Ross of Seeley Lake, Montana his daughter; Rachel(Ricky) Gonzales of San Antonio, Texas, stepchildren; Alanna Lawrence of Wellston; Meghan(Ryan) Fisher of Eau Claire, WI; Andrew(Manda) McLeod of Davison, sisters; Lori (Chuck) Wadley of Seeley Lake, Montana; Linda Altemus of Manistee; Lisa Tubbs of Haltom City, Texas, grandchildren: Morgan, Isaac, Makaelah, Fallon, Liana, Ricky Jr., Joshua, Jennalyn, Emaleigh, Alexis, Nicholas, Bekah, Robby, Mike, Alex, Noah, Landon Green, Ethan, Audrey, Anthony, great grandchildren; Castiel & Eliath, and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by; his mother Emma Jean Dayton, brothers-in-law Louis (Lynn) Tubbs & Kenneth Hooper, & granddaughter: Haley Green.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Norman Township Community Center in Wellston, MI on Sunday, September 28, 2025 at 2:00 P.M., with military honors at 2:15P.M. by the Manistee United Veterans Council.

Memorial Contributions may be directed to the family in lieu of flowers.
