Robert Dale Bratschi of Manistee, 92, passed away peacefully at the home of his daughter with family by his side, Thursday May 20, 2021.

Born November 7, 1928 in Elk Rapids, MI, Robert was the son of the late Bert (Albert) and Mary (Clark) Bratschi. He graduated from Elk Rapids High School. He Served in the U. S. Army during the Korean War.
On February 11, 1956 he married Shirley Zemke they enjoyed 64 years together, she proceeded him in death, June of 2020

Robert joined the Michigan State Police in 1956 serving at the Romeo, Reed City, Warren, New Baltimore and Manistee Posts. He retired as a Sergeant at the Manistee Post in 1988 after 32 years of service. After retirement Robert enjoyed traveling, fishing and gardening.

He was a member of Knights of Columbus, Catholic War Veterans, Elks Lodge#250, AMVETS and St. Mary's Mens Club.

Survivors include his children, Dale (Marsha), Mark (Corrin), Leo (Amy), Pamela, Terry (Kristine), he also loved his Grandchildren, Derek, Zack (Caitlin), Alex (Hannah), Dylan (Katie), Drew, Zyzzyx, Zarek, Zayne, Kylee, and Zaden. Great-granddaughters Sophie, Addison and Jillian, sister Valerie Cooledge, sister-in-law Rosa Bratschi as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his brothers Clark and Jon, sister- in-law Barbara "Lois" Bratschi and brother-in-law Fred Cooledge,

Visitation will be held on Thursday May 27, 2021 between the hours of 4:00 PM and 8:00 PM, at Oak Grove Funeral Home in Manistee. The Rosary will be prayed at 7:00 P.M.

Funeral services will follow on Friday May 28th at 10:00AM, at Oak Grove Funeral Home in Manistee where a Mass of Christian Burial and military honors will be given.

Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery in Elk Rapids, Michigan on Friday May 28th at 3:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, a donation in memory of Robert may be made to The Leader Dogs for the Blind, 1039 S. Rochester Rd., Rochester Hills, MI 48307-3115
