On Monday October 13th, 2025 Rickey (Rick) Green died peacefully in his home surrounded by his children and family.

Rick was born and raised on a family farm in Manistee County. He enjoyed raising cropsand animals. Rick attended Benzie Central School, where he was on the football team.

Rick was drafted into the Army during Vietnam in 1965 and honorably discharged in1966, wounded. He was the recipient of purple heart for his duties in Vietnam. After his time in the military, Rick worked for Century Boats until they closed. He then worked for years on Fruitful Acres Farm. He finished out his work career at Domres Construction of Manistee. He loved running heavy equipment and working in the dirt. After retiring, he spent much of his time in the shop doing his wood-working

Rick had a life-long passion for the Detroit Lions. He enjoyed deer hunting on the family property. He enjoyed his time at the local Casinos. He loved John Wayne and Chuck Noris. He would watch any of their movies anytime, anywhere. One of his favorite songs was: Okie from Muskogee, by Merl Haggard.

Rickey is survived in by his wife Marilyn Green (Hale), his twin brother; Mickey, his children; Candace (Duane), Christy, Richard (Tiffany), & Matthew (Stephanie), 9 grandchildren including; Amber, Connor Richard Jr., Kaleigh, Emma, Aliza, and Wyatt & 4 great grandchildren, his step-children; Harmony, Todd (Cathy), Brian (Jennifer) & Keith (Cynthia), 7 step-grandchildren; Raymond, Cassilyn, Lindsay, Jordan, Marissa, Kileen, & Payton, & 8 step-great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents : Carl and Josephine (Ludwig) Green,& two brothers: Larry and Dale Green.

Memorial Services for Rick will be held Friday, October 17, 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Oak Grove Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Manistee. Military Honors will follow. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2:00 PM until time of service. Burial will be in the Springdale Township Cemetery.
