Richard Dewey Riewe, 71, of Kaleva, passed away on Sunday, June 28, 2026.

Most of his life he has always taken care of his family and always put them ahead of his own needs. Family always meant everything to him, and he loved them, especially his children.

He is survived by: his sisters, Patricia Nadine Riewe (Oscar Chavez) and Elizabeth Sue Leatherman; his children, Jennifer Lynn Garber and Richard Anthony Riewe; along with many nieces and nephews. 

He was proceeded in death by: his parents, Emil (Curly) Riewe and Delora Riewe; and siblings, Lottie Mae Hoffman Cole, Nancy Lee Riewe, and Gary David Riewe;

A Celebration of Life will be held from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM, Sunday, July 12, 2026, at the Kaleva Lions Club, 14361 9 Mile Rd, Kaleva, MI 49645.
