Raymond E. Reed, age 83 of Bear Lake, peacefully passed away on Friday May 13, 2022, in the comfort of his home.
He was born on December 31, 1938, in Pleasanton Township, the son of the late Milford Reed and Esther Brink. He attended Arcadia Schools. Raymond was a sawyer at Reed's Sawmill since the age of 12.
He enjoyed spending his time in the outdoors hunting, fishing, and picking berries and morels. He loved anything that involved being outside.
Raymond is survived by his children Scott (Patti) Reed, Lori (Charley Hockey) Reed of Cadillac, Kimberly Reed of Wisconsin, Lisa (Josh) Pringle of Bear Lake, and Randy (Brianna) Reed of Bear Lake; grandchildren Christopher Reed, Sherry (Tony) Cruz, Jessica Brown, Tyler (Austina) Reed, Taylor Harris, Tyler, Emma, and Caleb Pringle, McKenna, Reign, Xzavior, Aurora, Raylin, Remington and Arabella Reed; great-grandchildren Trina, Olivia and Elizabeth Cruz, Logan Reed, Clara, Cate, and Lila Brown, and Aubriella and Essidy Reed; siblings Larry (Joyce) Reed and Edith (Wendall) Putney; and many other nieces and nephews.
Besides for his parents, Raymond is preceded in death by his son Kevin Reed and two sisters.
Raymond has been cremated and will be buried at the sawmill with his favorite maple tree.
