Randall Melvin Flater, age 63, of Manistee, Michigan, passed away on Sunday October 3, 2021, at Munson Healthcare Manistee Hospital.
Randall was born on September 23, 1958, in Manistee, the son of the late Melvin and Gloria (Helminiak) Flater. After graduating from Montague High School, he went on to be an auto mechanic and worked at several automotive repair shops throughout his lifetime.
There were a lot of things that Randall enjoyed doing, but the one thing that brought him the most happiness was racing. He was a proud member of Poland Race Team #13.
Randall is survived by his brother Rick Flater of Muskegon, Michigan; his sister Melanie Cashbaugh of Magnolia, Arkansas; his special Uncle and Aunt Wayne and Sally Overla of Manistee; numerous nieces and nephews; and many other family members and friends.
Besides for his parents, Randall is preceded in death by his sister Debra Hoffman and his great nephew Arik Hoffman.
Visitation for Randall will be held on Monday October 11, 2021, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Oak Grove Funeral Home in Manistee, with a funeral service to immediately follow at 2:00 pm. A luncheon will follow at Oak Grove Funeral Home after the interment.
Randall will be laid to rest at Oak Grove Cemetery.
