Randall Lawrence Decher, a born again Christian who lived a Christ centered life to the best of his ability, age 68 of Manistee passed away peacefully Saturday morning May 29, 2021 at his home.
He was born on March 12, 1953 in Saginaw, Michigan the son of the late Lawrence E. & Mary Jane (Elliott) Decher. He was a 1971 graduate of Douglas McArthur High School in Saginaw.
Randy had been employed at General Motor Plant #5 in Saginaw as well as having owned and operated 4D Party Store and the Valley BMX Track both in Saginaw.
He was a member of The Tab Church in Manistee and UAW Local 699. An avid hunter he also loved woodworking, especially intricate cabinetry work. A good welder, he also was an antique collector.
He is survived by his daughter; Lisa (Trent) Olson of Glendive, Montana, four grandchildren; Austin (Courtney) Olson, Kourinna (Bret) McGhie, Kaitlin & Cody Olson, five great grandchildren, two sisters; Gloria (Roland) Desrochers & Janice Williams, and one brother; Martin (Jan) Decher.
He was also preceded in death by a son; Jasen Lawrence Decher.
Funeral services for Randy will be held Wednesday, June 2, 2021 at 7:00 PM at the Oak Grove Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Manistee with Pastor George Butler officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 PM until time of service. Burial will take place at Roselawn Cemetery in Saginaw on Thursday, June 3, 2021 at 1:00 PM.
