Phillip Alan Buckingham, age 57 of Manistee died Thursday, August 19, 2021 at his home.

He was born on October 26, 1963 in Manistee the son of the late Robert W. & Hilda M. (Schimpke) Buckingham. He was a graduate of Manistee High School Class of 1983. He married Catherine Ann Kragor on July 1, 1988 at Guardian Angels Catholic Church in Manistee.

Phil was a self-employed painter as well as having worked at Harbor Steel in Manistee and Certified Welding in Free Soil. He enjoyed bowling, softball, & basketball as well as having coached his children's sports teams. Phil always enjoyed spending time with his kids and later in life with his grand kids.

He is survived by his wife; Cathy Buckingham, daughter; Kelly (Eric) Vasquez and their children; Nolan, Trace, Amelia, & Katalina, and son; Dave (Theresa) Buckingham and their children; Braxton & Grayson.

He was also preceded in death by two brothers; Jim & Bob Buckingham.

A Celebration of Life gathering will be held Saturday, August 28, 2021 from 2-4 PM at the Oak Grove Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Manistee.

In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy may be directed to the family to assist with funeral expenses.
