Philip Lemmer's Obituary
Philip Joseph Lemmer, age 81 of Manistee, died Wednesday, November 9, 2022, at his home.
He was born on December 15, 1940, in Manistee the son of the late Elmer & Maryann (Dudek) Lemmer. He attended Manistee public schools and graduated from Saint Joseph High School in 1959. He then attended Central Michigan for 3 years and after two additional years of education at Michigan State University he graduated with a bachelor's degree in Forestry.
Phil' employment history included tending bar at The Hotel Northern – operated by his father, working for the U.S. Forest Service, and a contract laborer pouring concrete for Ed Zajac and other local contractors.
Phil enjoyed the outdoors as he loved to hunt, fish, & trap. He also was a great bowler and enjoyed playing poker.
He is survived by one sister: Mary Ann Sharratt of Minnesota, numerous cousins, and friends Allycia Bureau and Marvin Chick.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Saint Joseph Catholic Church in Manistee at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, December 7, 2022.
