Patricia Alta Hockey, age 92, of Kaleva, Michigan, passed away on Saturday January 15, 2022, in the comfort of her home.
Patricia was born on May 9, 1929, in St. Clair Shores, Michigan, the daughter of the late Alfred and Clea (Akred) Dore. She graduated from Baldwin High School, class of 1947. On February 6, 1948, Pat married the love of her life, Kenneth Frank Hockey, and they shared 38 years together before Kenneth's passing in 1986.
Pat was employed at Imlay Bank and worked there for 30 years before moving up here. She worked at Kaleva Grocery Store for several years before retiring in 2004.
She was a member of Epworth United Methodist Church in Brethren, Michigan.
There were many things that Pat enjoyed in life. She loved family games nights, playing cards, traveling, going on cruises, and spending time with her grandchildren. She loved running the roads with her friend, Kathy Cameron, and going to Bingo together.
Pat will be dearly missed by her children Kathy Hockey and Ken Hockey; her brother Ed (Melissa) Dore; grandchildren Kim (Mike) Hockey, Rachel (Scott) Munoz, Jason Munoz, and Danielle (Joe) Chetosky; great-grandchildren Peyton and Jacob Chetosky and Anahleigh Schmidt; her special friend Kathy Cameron; and many other family and friends.
Besides for her parents and her husband, Kenneth, Pat was preceded in death by her sisters Marilyn Eichenberg and Carol Dore.
A celebration of life will be held in the spring for Pat.
