With our deepest sadness, we announce the passing of Patricia Ann Gustad of Manistee, Michigan. She departed this life on Tuesday, December 30, 2025—her 86th birthday.

Patricia ("Pat") was born in Watertown, South Dakota in 1939, to Harvey and Lela Curtice. She grew up alongside her older sister, Kathleen.

Pat earned her degree as a medical technologist from Mount Marty College in Yankton, South Dakota. She went on to have a long and successful career, retiring as Chief Technologist/Lab Manager at Manistee West Shore Community Hospital.

Pat was married to Gary Gustad for 13 years, and together they raised five children, whom she considered her greatest accomplishment. She deeply cherished time spent with family and friends and especially enjoyed attending all kinds of ball games, coffee with friends, playing cards, cheering on the Minnesota Vikings, traveling, and hosting family gatherings.

She is survived by her sister, Kathleen Webb, and Kathleen's four children. Pat is also survived by her children: Cathy Wickens (Marshall), Dan Gustad (Sue), Mike Gustad (Lisa), Cindy Lundberg, and Eric Gustad (Laurie Blevins and her children). Her grandchildren include: Amanda Singer (Nathan), Beth Commissaris (Phil), Jenny Wickens, Jessica Gustad, Jacob Gustad, Collin Gustad (Erika), Corey Gustad, Haley Gustad, Heidi Lundberg, Allie Lundberg, and Kimmy Lundberg. She is also survived by her beloved great-granddaughter, Lillian Singer.

Pat (Gusto, Patty Pacer, Gertie) will forever be remembered for her strength (and gusto), her unwavering love for family and friends, her laughter, generous heart, and positive outlook on life—and yes, a few Summer Shandys. She was truly the life of the party and lived with a joyful case of FOMO

Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, January 17, 2026 at 11:00am at the Oak Grove Funeral Home with Pastor Dan Barkholz officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 till the time of the service
