Michael Charles Soulliere, 78, of Manistee Township, passed away on Friday, June 5, 2026, at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City. He was born on March 16, 1948, in Detroit to Roger and Wanda Soulliere. Mike lived a life defined by family, friends, hard work, and the love of good competition.

Mike was a longtime owner of Soulliere Decorative Stone in Utica Michigan that he helped grow into one of the most respected names in the Landscape & Hardscape industry. After years of hard work, he retired early to live the good life in Northern Michigan. Upon heading North, he parlayed his passion of golf into working as a ranger at both Heathlands Golf Course and Manistee National.

All who knew Mike, knew his warm smile. Whether he was on the golf course, shuffleboard table, or sitting down for a spirited game of 500 rummy, he brought an energy that drew people in. He loved games of all kinds and delighted in the competition. Mike’s winning always seemed to come with a familiar grin and a look that said “I got you this time”. But those lucky enough to beat him were followed up by an immediate invitation, “Wanna play again? “

Above all, Mike cherished his family. He is survived by his beloved wife, Lynn of 35 years, his sons, his siblings, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and many extended family members and friends who will miss his warmth, humor, and generous spirit. Though he is gone, the stories, laughter, and countless games we shared with Mike will continue to be remembered by all who knew him.

In accordance with Mike’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at Oak Grove Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Manistee at a later date.
