Michael Andrew Reister, age 64 of Manistee, passed away on Monday June 10, 2024, in his home.

Born on September 23, 1959, in Ionia, Michigan, Michael was the son of Ronald and Patricia (Ward) Reister. Michael attended Baker College and West Shore Community College before receiving his bachelor's degree from Ferris State University.

Michael proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps from 1978 until he was honorably discharged in 1981.

He was a lifeguard on Mission Bay in San Diego, California for four years. After that he was a bank controller before retiring.

Michael enjoyed peace, tranquility, and harmony. He liked to spend his time hunting, fishing and building and flying model planes.

Michael will be dearly missed by his daughter Jennifer (Luke) Patterson; grandchildren Alexis and Michael Patterson; son Joshuwa Myers; sister Rhonda (Bill) Conners; brother John (Reca) Reister; his Irons, Michigan family; and many other family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents Ronald and Patricia.

A graveside service will be held at a later date.
