Merwin Warren Wrisley, age 71 of Kaleva, passed away on Friday January 28, 2022, at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City.
He was born on September 16, 1950, in Belding, MI, son of the late Merwin Warren Wrisley and Lorraine E. (Helmer) Cox. Merwin attended and graduated from Ionia High School. After spending some time outside of Michigan, Merwin returned and obtained his corrections officer certificate. He then worked at the Oaks Correctional Facility for many years until his retirement.
Merwin enjoyed putting together model planes and cars, riding his motorcycle and spending time with family and friends.
Merwin is survived by his brother, Ross Charles (Cynthia Salas) Cox of Arlington, TX; sister, Jean Ann James of Florida; nephew, Eric; niece, Beth; and great-nephews, Adrien, Ezekiel, and Jason; great-niece, Melany.
Funeral services for Merwin will be held at 1:00PM on Monday February 7, 2022, at Oak Grove Funeral Home in Manistee. The family will receive friends for visitation at the funeral home on Sunday February 6, 2022, from 1:00PM to 4:00PM and again on Monday from 12:00PM until time of service.
