Mary Lou Boyd, age 82 of Traverse City, passed away on Tuesday August 13, 2024, in the comfort of her home with her loving husband by her side.

Born on August 2, 1942, in Traverse City, Michigan, Mary Lou was the daughter of the late Robert and Eve (Griffin) Nash. She graduated from Traverse City Senior High, Class of 1960. On February 3, 1979, Mary Lou married the love of her life, Cliff Boyd, in Traverse City. They shared over 45 years together filled with a lot of love, laughter, and travels.

Mary Lou was the head teller at Empire National Bank for over 18 years before working with Cliff at Cliff's Rifle Shop.

There were many things in life that Mary Lou found joy in. She loved flowers, specifically roses, and grew over 40 hybrid tea roses. She was musically talented, playing the piano and in high school the clarinet. Most of all, Mary Lou loved spending time with Cliff; they did everything together. They loved to travel all over with their travel trailer, rod and reel fish in South Carolina where they would catch flounder, ice fish out west, and shoot rifles and handguns. Mary Lou was very skilled when it came to shooting rifles and handguns.

Mary Lou is survived by her husband, Cliff; her sons Brian Boyd, Mark (Lisa) Harrand, and Kenneth (Jackie) Boyd; grandchildren Karson, Breanna, Colin (Victoria) and Stefan; sister Kayann Wagner; brother Michael (Christie) Nash; and many other family and friends.

In addition to her parents, Mary Lou was preceded in death by her son Gregory Harrand and brothers-in-law Larry Wagner and Robert Boyd.

A Graveside Service will be held for Mary Lou on Friday August 23, 2024, at the Grand Traverse Memorial Gardens at 10:00 AM.
