Margaret (Poole) Bushor, age 87, of Manistee, passed away Monday December 6, 2021. She passed away at the home of her daughter surrounded by loving family members.

She was born May 13, 1934, in Charlevoix, Michigan to Elmer M. and Margaret L. (Simpson) Poole. She graduated from Charlevoix High School in 1952. During high school and a few years after she worked as an operator for Michigan Bell. She transferred to the Detroit branch. While working there her brother Elmer introduced her to the love of her life, Bill Bushor. They were married June 26, 1954, at Westlawn Methodist Church in Detroit. After marriage they moved to Wayne, Michigan where they raised three children.

During her lifetime she was an excellent seamstress, taught ceramics, loved baking and was an avid home decorator. She followed in her father's footsteps and was able to drywall, paint and wallpaper. She volunteered as PTA President, Campfire Girl leader and later at American Legion, Moose Lodge and VFW.

Margaret is survived by her sister Elaine Poole Whitley Budde and her three children: Sue (Frank) Dorado, Perry (Angie) Bushor, and Holly (Mike) Blake; grandchildren: Stacy (Matt) Holland, Nicole (Matt) Cornett, Melissa (Tom) Jaakkola and Noah (Rachel) Blake; great-grandchildren: Valerie, Olivia, Link, Ty, Nathan, Alexis, Isabella, Zachery, Molly, Wyatt and Owen.

Margaret was proceeded in death by her husband of 60 years Bill Bushor, grandson Michael Bushor; brothers: Elmer, William, Wallace and Lewis; sisters: Wilma Kuebler, Patricia Lamb, Joan Mckinney and Nancy Eaton.

Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held on Saturday May 14, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Oak Grove Funeral Home in Manistee. Family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until the time of service.
