Lois Mae Rosenow, age 92 of Manistee, passed away on Wednesday January 13, 2021 at Green Acres in Manistee.

She was born on April 14, 1928 in Bridgeport, CT, daughter of the late Watts and Josephine (Sapelli) Chapin. Lois attended the University of Michigan, graduating in 1950 with a nursing degree.

Lois married Kenneth G. Rosenow MD on September 16, 1950 in Connecticut. He preceded her in death on August 4, 2012. Lois worked for her husbands' medical practice, starting in 1957 and working till her retirement in 1980.

She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. Lois was also active in the Jaycees and BPW (Business and Professional Women) and loved to read, bowl, golf, travel, and spend time with her cat Zeb.

Lois is survived by her 3 children, Kenneth (Elizabeth) Rosenow, Jr., Michael (Bethany) Rosenow and Kristen (Steve) Kimm; sister, Mary Jo Dranttel; grandchildren, Christopher, Michael (Amy), Nicole, Karen (Brian), Jesse, Eric, Kelsey (Patrick) and Eric; 7 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Kenneth G. Rosenow, MD; brother, Paul Chapin; grandson, Aaron W. Rosenow.

A celebration of life gathering will be held in the summer of 2021. Final interment will take place at Grant Township Cemetery in Free Soil.
