Lawrence Edward Buerger, age 63, of Irons died Tuesday, April 26, 2022 at his home.

He was born on December 24, 1958 in Manistee, MI the son of the late Karl F. & Pearl (Granger) Buerger. He was a graduate of Manistee Catholic Central Class of 1976. He also earned a Diploma from the Electronics Technician Program at the Ohio Institute of Technology.

Larry's love was the sea, working as a Merchant Marine Sailor as well as on Cruise Ships and Seismic Oil Exploration Ships. For a short period of time he was employed as a counterman by NAPA and Auto Value.

He was a member of Saint Bernard Catholic Church in Irons where he was also a member of the Men's Club. A motorcycle enthusiast, he also loved his cars. He was a dedicated volunteer for ECHO and the Irons Mission Store.

Survivors include two brothers; Daniel & Steve Buerger, one sister; Susan (Al) Heuer, brother-in-law; Dave Hatto, nieces; Josette Guenthardt and Alanna (Kevin) Crouch, and nephew; Nathan (Kaycee Newell) Heuer.

He was also preceded in death by his brother; Gary S. Buerger and sister; Kathleen Hatto.

Mass from the Order of Christian Funerals will be celebrated on Saturday June 11, 2022 at 11:00AM at Saint Bernard Catholic Church in Irons.
