Kenneth John Duchon, age 80, of Manistee, peacefully passed away on Wednesday March 2, 2022, in the comfort of his home, surrounded by loved ones.
Ken was born on November 26, 1941, in Manistee, the son of John and Gertrude (Skocelas) Duchon. He graduated from St. Joseph School, class of 1959. On November 16, 1963, Ken married Sandra Kaye Wainola at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Manistee and they shared almost 50 years together before Sandra's passing on July 15, 2013.
He was a Master Mechanic at Packaging Corporation of America and had worked there for over 35 years.
In his younger years, Ken would race his Corvette at the Northern Michigan Dragway. He enjoyed spending time outdoors golfing and fishing. After he retired, Ken loved to travel around the country with his daughter Kim and son-in-law John. One bucket list item that Ken wanted to do was visit the Corvette Museum and he was able to cross that off his list last year. He also enjoyed going to the casino and to concerts.
Ken is survived by his daughter Kim (John) Sisson; grandchildren Jordan (Angela) Mitchell and Justine (Corey) Bitler; brother Larry (LaRaine) Duchon; his best friend Bob (Linda) Venne; and his special friend Elaine Pieczynski.

Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held on Wednesday March 9, 2022, at 4:00 P.M. at Oak Grove Funeral Home in Manistee with Reverend Dr. Jeffray Greene officiating. Family and friends may visit from 3:00 P.M. until the time of the service. A luncheon will be held after the service.
