Kay Yvonne Dahlvig, age 86, of Manistee, MI passed away Sunday, February 15, 2026 at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City, MI.

She was born February 14, 1940,in Manistee, MI to the late Francis Wallace and Alice (John) McCarthy.
Kay was a graduate of St Joseph Catholic School class of 1957. She married Harold "Ray" Dahlvig on September 12, 1959 at Guardian Angel Church in Manistee. They shared almost 50 years together, spending their winters in the Florida Keys and camping throughout Michigan with family and friends.

Kay worked at The Michigan Unemployment Agency and Michigan Consolidated Gas Co. She was a lifetime member of the Eagles Women's Auxiliary Post 1765 and a member of the Moose Club in Manistee.

Above all,Kay was a cherished mother of four daughters, and a loving grandmother, to whom she devoted her life. She is survived by her four daughters, Robyn ( Ronald) Sanocki, Corinne (Scott) Fauble, Bonnie (Brian) Hackert, Lisa (Ioannis) Bargis, ten grandchildren, Joshua (Jackie) Wissner, Rachel (Nick) Wagner, Jeremy (Amanda) Fauble, Sara (Lane) King, Jordan (Danielle) Hackert, Tyler (Chelsea) Hackert, Michael (Claire) Hackert, Justin (Magdalene) Barrett, Jared (Svetlana) Barrett, Hannah (fiancé Harrison Cohen) Barrett, twenty-one great grandchildren, one sister-in-law, Carol Fedder, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Ray, grandson Jacob Barrett, her sisters Marilyn Kaminski and Carol Picardat, brother-in-laws, John Picardat and Floyd Fedder.

Per Kay's wishes a private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
