Kathleen Marie Sturgeon, "Kathy", age 76 of Brethren, Michigan died Wednesday, September 17, 2025 at her home.
Kathy was born on April 2, 1949 in Highland Park, Michigan the daughter of William J. "Jack" & Jean M. (Dickerson) Owens. She married James J. Sturgeon, III on October 24, 1975 at the First Presbyterian Church in South Lyon, Michigan.
A fulltime homemaker, Kathy enjoyed spending time with her children & grandchildren - especially attending all the grandkids extra-curricular activities.
Kathy is survived by her loving husband, James J. Sturgeon, III, two sons; James (Shelley) Sturgeon and William (Amanda) Sturgeon, her daughter; Susan (Edward) Smalley, grandchildren; James (Sofia), Dean (Leah Stickney), Nicholas, & Hailey Sturgeon, Riley & Brennan Sturgeon, and Everet Smalley, great grandson; James Sturgeon, siblings; Beth (Ron) Smillie, Michael (MaryBeth) Owens, Christine (John) Serra, and Daniel (Liz) Owens. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Kathy was preceded in death by her parents; Jack and Jean Owens, her sister; Judy Owens and an infant son; Gregory.
