Kathleen M. Block, age 84 of Manistee died Tuesday, October 6, 2026 at Maple Ridge Manor in Manistee.

She was born on December 30, 1941 in Manistee the daughter of the late Thaddeus & Melvina (Krupski) Pacholski. She attended Saint Joseph School. On June 5, 1957 she married Gary H. Block in Manistee. He preceded her in death on April 11, 2019.

Kathy had been employed as a meat wrapper at Kroger’s and a sale’s clerk at K-Mart. She was a member of the Assembly of God in Manistee. She enjoyed spending time with family.

Survivors include two sons; Gary Alan (Michelle) Block of Manistee and Randy (Kelly) Block of Kalamazoo, grandchildren; Amber Block & Ashley (Jason) Shively of Manistee, Tyler (Tom) Moeslin, Taegan Block, & Tanner (Jake) Miller all of Kalamazoo, as well as by seven great grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by her sister; Mary Ann Smith.

Memorial Services will be held Friday, October 30, 2026 at 12:00 Noon at the Assembly of God in Manistee with Pastor Terry Vandercook officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 11:00 AM until time of service. Interment will be in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery.
