Karen Sue Braun, age 74 of Wellston, passed away at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City, Michigan, on Friday March 7, 2025.

Born March 19, 1950, in Grand Rapids, Michigan, Karen was the daughter of the late John and Margaret (Fairbrother) Osmolinski. She married James Cleveland Braun on December 7, 1968, in Grand Rapids. They shared 53 years together before James' passing on December 19, 2021.

Her happy place was camping with her whole family. She always enjoyed cooking and feeding others, never caring if it was in the kitchen or over an open fire. If she had her way, her whole family would have lived on a campsite. In her quite time, she would crochet her love for everyone that filled her heart. Karen also enjoyed drinking beer.

Karen is survived by her daughters Sue (Larry) Rehacek and Barbie (Jack) Rehacek; grandchildren Joshua, Jeremy, and Sara Braun, Cody (Cailon) Rehacek, Jacob (Hanna) Rehacek; eleven great-grandchildren; brother Bob (Deb) Ghareeb, sister Deb (Steve) Spruit; and many other family and friends.
