Joyce Elaine Mackin

Joyce Elaine Mackin, age 81 of Bear Lake, passed away on Saturday June 6, 2020 at home with family by her side.
She was born on September 7, 1938 in Manistee, daughter of the late Howard and Garnet (Griffiths) Spoor. She attended and graduated from Brethren High School.
Joyce married Frederick Mackin, who she spent many years with. She worked at Martin Marietta in Manistee as a security worker for many years. Joyce was an avid bingo player.
Joyce is survived by her husband, Frederick Mackin; children, Daniel (Stephanie) Mackin, Michael (Bobbilyn) Mackin, Karen (Grant) Groenwald and David (Theresa) Mackin; Grandchildren, Jenny (Kevin) Fowler, Brittany (Kyle Jasper) Mackin, Brandon, Clark, Olyvia, Quillan, Asheton and Keera Groenwald, Ashley, Mickey, Orion, Craig, Max, Simon, Madison, Justin, Garret, Allison and Abigail Mackin; her best friend, Maggie Hall; and her soul mate, Chico.
She is preceded in death by her parents; son, Jimmy Mackin; mother and father-in-law, Frieda and William Mackin; brothers, Roland and Dick; sisters Ardith, Sharol and twin sister Joan.
No service is planned at this time. The family has entrusted funeral arrangements with Oak Grove Funeral Home & Cremation Center of Manistee.
