John Calvin Millard, age 92 of Manistee died Friday, August 22, 2025 at Corwell Health Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

He was born on June 17, 1933 in Saskatchewan, Canada the son of the late Lloyd & Signa (Kristiason) Millard. He was a graduate of Bear Lake High School. He married Margaret Ann Bischoff on August 27, 1955 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Arcadia. She preceded him in death on January 23, 2017. John was a veteran of the United States Army, retiring at the rank of Master Sergeant.

John was employed at West Shore Hospital in maintenance, housekeeping, and ambulance services. He loved gardening. He was a member of the American Legion Post # 10 in Manistee and was a Past Commander.

Survivors include two sons; John Michael Millard of Cedar Springs, MI and Todd Alan (Kimberly) Millard of Bear Lake, MI, two grandchildren; Katelynn Millard (Michael Jones) & Christopher Millard & fiance' Kendra Ingalls, two great grandchildren; Greyson and Benjamin, his sister; Lorna, and his brother; Ken.

He was also preceded in death by his daughter; Phyllis Czap and grandson; Ryan Czap.

Graveside Military Honors by members of the Manistee United Veteran Council Honor Guard will be held on Friday, September 5, 2025 at the Pilgrim Home Cemetery in Arcadia.
