Joan Haase, age 76, died, Saturday, January 1, 2022, at her home in Manistee.
She was born on June 30, 1945, in Worcester, MA to the late Phillip & Gertrude (Hines) Werme. She married Carl A. Haase on January 21, 1967, in Worcester, MA and spent the next 55 years splitting her time in both Santa Rosa, CA and Manistee, MI.
Although mostly a homebody, she did enjoy seeing new places and spending time with good friends while enjoying a gin & tonic or a nice glass of white wine. A lover of Neil Diamond, Willie Nelson, and Bon Jovi to name a few, she will mostly be remembered for her quick wit and sense of humor. She will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years; Carl A. Haase of Manistee, daughter; Kimberly (David) Arcado of Roseville, CA, son; Karl (Mary) Haase and grandson Ryan Haase of Roseville, CA, sister; Sandra Werme, and brothers; Peter (Patty) Werme and Robert Werme.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
