Jeffrey Howard Kibbe, age 62 of Manistee, passed away on Tuesday May 7, 2024, at Munson Hospice House in Traverse City.

Born on August 7, 1961, in Pontiac, Michigan, Jeff was the son of the late Stanley and Evelyn (Stallings) Kibbe. He attended Lake Orion Schools.

Jeff had worked in a variety of different jobs in his lifetime, but for the past 20 plus years he worked as a maintenance man and general handyman for rental units.

He was a member of The Eagles.

Jeff enjoyed gardening and working in the yard. One of his favorite things to do was to decorate the house for Halloween and Christmas. He liked the water and fishing with his late close friend, Jerry O'Brien. Time spent with Mary's son Jon's children was always a treat. 5 o'clock was Jeff's favorite time. He was quick to offer refreshments to whomever came over.

His warm smile and gentle ways will be missed by all who knew him.

Jeff is survived by his companion of 22 years, Mary Bruneau; Mary's son Jon (Billie) Bruneau and his children Julian, Rosie, and Piper all of Manistee; his brothers Gary (Sue) Kibbe of Clarkston, Roger Kibbe of Hillsdale, and Guy Kibbe of St. Clair Shores; his sisters Sandy (Robert) Hunter and Pamela (Michael) Clutier both of Lapeer; and many nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life for Jeff will be held on Saturday August 10, 2024, from 2:00pm until 5:00pm at the Manistee Moose Lodge, 1010 Robinson Street, Manistee, MI 49660.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Munson Hospice House in Traverse City and the Manistee Moose Lodge 1128.
