Jeanne Luhtanen's Obituary
Jeanne Garlets Luhtanen, age 83 of Harrietta, passed away on Thursday January 9, 2025, at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City.
Born on December 25, 1941, Jeanne was the daughter of the late John P. and Halcyon Garlets. She graduated from Mesick High School.
Jeanne married Dennis Luhtanen on September 22, 1962, in Mesick, Michigan and they shared almost 60 years together before Dennis passed away on June 19, 2022.
She retired from RexAir.
Jeanne loved to play Yahtzee and Euchre with her sisters and enjoyed cooking big meals.
She is survived by her children Brenda (Craig) Borr, Laura Amlott, and Eric Luhtanen; siblings Nate Garlets, Jane LeVeque, Karol Quessenberry, and Karen Bosman; grandchildren Levon (Mandy) Luther, Hailey (Austin) Marine, Hannah Amlott, Alex Yurak, Carly Borr, Evan Borr, and Natalia Morro.
In addition to her parents and her husband, Jeanne was preceded in death by her brother Johnny Milt Garlets.
