It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jim James Stone at the age of 85 in Manistee, Michigan, on February 15, 2025. Born in Muskegon, Michigan, Jim was the son of James and Irene Stone. He was an avid hunter and fisherman.

He is survived by his wife, Beverley Stone; son Phillip Stone; daughter Rebecca Stone; sister Eloise Stone; brother Donald Stone; brother Charles Stone; as well as 12 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, and many niece and nephews. Jim was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and uncle and served as a member and elder of the Little River Band of Ottawa Indians.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents, three children; Jonathan & Sara Stone, & Aimee Schuler, brothers Robert Stone and Jon Stone, sisters Mary Stone and Aurelia Stone. His memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved him.

Jim will be remembered for his kind heart, sense of humor, and unwavering commitment to his family and community. May he rest in peace.

A Funeral Service in honor of Jim will be held on Saturday March 1, 2025, at 12:00 noon at Oak Grove Funeral Home in Manistee. The family will receive friends from 11:00 until the time of service at noon.
