James Myers' Obituary
James O. Myers, age 91 of Wellston, passed away at his home on Wednesday September 6, 2023.
He was born on October 2, 1931, in Detroit, Michigan, the son of the late Otto and Agnes Myers. While working for Consumers Energy, he earned the title of journeyman in welding and plumbing.
James proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corp where he received a letter of commendation for heroism after saving a man from drowning. He held the rank of Private First Class.
He was a welder for Consumers Energy in Livonia, Michigan.
James was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved old farm tractors and ending the day with a campfire and a cold beer.
He is survived by four children and their families.
