James Irving MacDonald, age 69 of Manistee, passed away in the comfort of his home on Wednesday July 19, 2023.

He was born on August 3, 1953, the son of Harry MacDonald and Sally Smith. He graduated from Walled Lake Central High School, Class of 1971.

James enjoyed watching football, Star Trek, and his "soapy's", listening to music, and most of all, spending time with his family and his dog, Jimmy Mac.

He is survived by his daughter Jami (Keith Partridge) MacDonald of Manistee; grandchildren Nathan MacDonald, Lauren MacDonald, Trenton Partridge all of Manistee, Ricky Tomaszewski of Battle Creek, Alexis Tomaszewski of Grand Rapids, and Brooklyn and Isiah of Grand Rapids; great granddaughter Vanessa Partridge of Manistee; mother Sally Stevens of Grayling; brothers Bill MacDonald of Kalkaska, Mark Stevens of Grayling, and Doug (Lisa) Wilson; sister Brenda (Doug) Lopinski of the U.P.; and many nieces and nephews.

James was preceded in death by his father Harry MacDonald and his daughter Brenda Tomaszewski.

A Funeral Service for James will be held on Wednesday July 26, 2023, at 12:00 PM at Oak Grove Funeral Home in Manistee. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until the time of service.

James will be laid to rest at Oak Grove Cemetery in Manistee.
