Obituary

Jack A. Miller, age 72 of Onekama, MI died Tuesday, February 20, 2024 at his home surrounded by family.

He was born on August 10, 1951 in Manistee the son of the late Alfred & Marjorie (Hill) Miller. He was a graduate of Onekama Schools Class of 1969, and also attended Ferris State University. He married Debra Hilliard on September 22, 1973 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Onekama. They had just celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary.

Jack was employed for 25 years at Martin Marietta followed by many years at PCA.

Jack served on the Onekama School Board, helped start the first robotics team, enjoyed woodworking, hunting, fishing, golf, and giving golf cart rides to his grandkids.

Survivors include his wife Debra Miller; children Toria (Jeff) Short, Dr. Tiffany (Zach) Berry, Tyler Miller, Travis (Shawnna) Miller, & Trevor (Logan) Miller; grandchildren Genevieve, Owen, Ray, Jack, Spencer, Elliot, Gabriella, & Emmett; Brother Gary (Debbie) Miller; sister Kathy McClellan; brother-in-law Ed Brandt; sisters-in-law Pamela (Galen) Johnson, Terri Vertalka, and Becky (Don) Emmert; and numerous nieces & nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his father & mother-in-law Edwin & Margaret (Blanchard) Hilliard, sister Karen Brandt, and granddaughter Emerson.

A Celebration of Life for Jack will be held on Saturday June 15, 2024 from 1:00 PM until 4:00 PM at the Onekama Lions Pavilion, with a Remembrance Service beginning at 3:00 PM.
