Hugh Rollin II, 88, of Onekama, Michigan passed away Thursday, June 29, 2023.
Hugh was born on July 28, 1934, in Hinsdale, Illinois, son of Denis and Blanche Rollin. He graduated from Onekama High School in 1952 and attended Central Michigan University. Hugh served two years in the United States Army
.
Hugh married Beverly Triece on October 27, 1962, in Manistee. Together they raised three daughters, Shelley, Lisa, and Kelley. They built their dream home in 1970-71.
Hugh operated Rollin Well Drilling for 64 years. Drilling water wells and providing service to area farmers, residents, and businesses was his passion. In the 70s, Hugh drilled extensively in the oil fields for Shell Oil. Strong as an ox and stubborn as a mule, Hugh continued to work through his final year.
Hugh served many years on the Onekama Fire Department and Township Board.
Hugh is survived by his "Dear" wife, Beverly, and his "Bums," Shelley Rollin, Kelley Rollin, and Lisa Rollin, son-in-law, Lee Blahnik, and sister, Sue Sheridan.
He was preceded in death by his parents and in-laws, Gilman and Doris Triece.
