Herbert Fredrick Bradford, age 78 of Manistee, Michigan passed away peacefully at his home on October 16, 2023, surrounded by his loving family.
He was known to almost everyone as "Herbie." He was a lifelong partner to Judy which started in Onekama High School. Herbert and Judy (Olson) were married on June 11, 1966. Together they shared a life that revolved around the great outdoors. They spent their time gardening in the summer, harvesting their bounty in the fall and then preparing it for the winter months. He loved to go to yard sales as much as he enjoyed camping, hunting, and fishing. He shared his passions with his wife, children, grandchildren, and friends.
Herb was a graduate of Onekama High School. He went on to receive a degree in Forestry Management from L'Anse Forestry College. He also attended Michigan Technical University. He completed his career at Morton Salt in Manistee, MI retiring December 30, 1996.
He was a member of the Onekama Lions Club and served as the King Lion for multiple years.
Herbie was quick to give advice or a joke to everyone he met, especially his children and grandchildren whether they needed it or not. He was a prolific storyteller of fond memories to the wonder of his audience. He had a full Life!
