Harold L. Lytle Sr., 101, passed away peacefully at his home on Monday April 7, 2025.
Harold was born on August 5, 1923, in Laurelville, Ohio, the son of the late Lawrence and Clara (Peisert) Lytle. On September 27, 1947, Harold married his soulmate, Betty Pierson, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. Betty passed away a couple weeks before they would have celebrated 74 years of marriage.
He was a very devoted family man who liked nothing more than spending time with his wife, children, and grandchildren.
Harold retired from PCA in 1985 and enjoyed his long retirement spending time outdoors and gardening.
Surviving Harold are his son Harold Lytle Jr.; daughter Janeen Lytle; daughter-in-law Janet Lytle; grandsons Ryan Lytle and Kyle (Brittany) Lytle; brother Bill Lytle; brother-in-law Terry Pierson; sisters-in-law Pat Lytle and Jean Edmonson; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, and his wife Betty, Harold was preceded in death by his son Lenard Lytle; brothers George Lytle, Kenneth Lytle, and Lawrence Lytle Jr.; sister Juanita (Ralph) Cole; brothers-in-law K. Glen Pierson, M. Kenneth Pierson, Merle (Marguerite) Pierson, Leonard (Ann) Pierson, and Earl Edmondson; sisters-in-law Reva Pierson, Eilen (Frank) Franklin, Jackie (Jim) Ursum, Mae Pierson, and Rose Pierson.
No services will be held at this time. A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
