Gary Riewe's Obituary
Gary David Riewe, age 58 of Manistee, passed away on Saturday July 15, 2023, at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City.
Gary was born on September 4, 1964, in Manistee, Michigan, the son of the late Emil Richard Riewe and Delora (Vanderhagen) Riewe. He graduated from Bear Lake High School, class of 1983.
He was self-employed in construction and as a handyman.
Gary loved to sing and play guitar every chance he could. Gary was the happiest when singing, playing guitar alone or with friends.
He is survived by his daughter Alison Riewe of Kaleva; Brother Richard Riewe of Kaleva; Sisters Elizabeth Sue Leatherman of Scottville, Nancy Lee Riewe of Manistee, and Patricia Nadine and husband Oscar Chavez of Kaleva and Georgia; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family.
In addition to his parents, Gary was preceded in death by his sister Lottie Cole.
A Celebration of Life for Gary will be held on Sunday July 23, 2023, at 2:00 PM at the Kaleva Lions Club in Kaleva, Michigan.
