Esther Kathleen Turk, age 71, of Manistee, passed away on Monday September 5, 2022, at Maple Ridge Manor in Manistee.

She was born on December 14, 1950, in Manistee, Michigan, the daughter of the late August and Louise Kruse. Esther attended Manistee Area Public Schools and graduated from Manistee High School, class of 1969. She went on to attend West School Community College for restaurant management. On January 18, 2018, in Manistee, she married Kenneth Guenthardt.

Esther was a member of the Manistee United Methodist Church.

For the last 29 years, Esther spent some of her time working the ticket counter at Manistee Area Public School events, retiring in 2020. When she wasn't working at school events, Esther loved to crotchet and knit.

Esther is survived by her husband Kenneth Guenthardt; her children Michele Cone of Manistee, Mark (Sherrie) Turk of Ann Arbor, Matt (Charlene) Turk of Florida, Tyler (Chrystal) Guenthardt of Manistee; stepson Jake (Tanya) Guenthardt of Petoskey; in-law CJ (Clarissa) Young; siblings Willian Kruse, Robert Kruse, and Ruth Zupin; grandchildren Jade Turk, Kyle Cone, Karra Cone, Stephen Clos, Rachel Blanchard, Randee Blanchard, Bentley Guenthardt, Leah Young, Aedan Young, Bailey Guenthardt, and Madison Guenthardt; great grandchildren Kevin, Ryder, and Raiden; and many other family and friends.

In addition to her parents, Esther was preceded in death by her siblings Barbara Harry, Gordon Kruse, Donald Kruse, August Kruse Jr., Jeannie Reed, Lois Kruse, and Darlene Kruse.
