Elizabeth Gail Lagerqiust, 72, of Luther Michigan, passed away from this life to her Heavenly home with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, on Friday, December 12, 2025. She was born on December 5, 1953 in Keokuk, Iowa, the daughter of Ramon and Patricia (Walton) Gonzalez.
Gail was active in her church, Beacon Ministries, for many years where she dedicated her time, talent and creativity producing and directing several musical and dramatic productions. She was also a serious student of the Bible and taught at Women's ministry conferences as well as in her local church. She helped with coordinating a praise dance team and Ladies Quartet at Beacon.
In her personal time, Gail loved walking, often many miles on nature trails and the river walk in Manistee on the shore of Lake Michigan. She had a love for animals, having had several dogs in the family and even a couple of raccoons! She was a wonderful home cook and loved hosting meals at family events.
Her greatest joy was her family, often spending her happiest moments with her two sons and especially her three granddaughters, whom she adored. Her personal passion was her relationship with Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. She spent many hours a day in prayer and Bible reading. She had a passion to share her faith with others and would want to do so again even today from Heaven's grandstand. Her most ardent prayer was to see all in her family come to salvation through Jesus and to join her in Heaven's choir someday.
Gail is survived by: her husband, Robert Lagerquist; sons, Nathan (and wife Taylor) Seibert and Josh Seibert; three grandchildren, Ava June, Mia Mae, and RaeLynn Rose Seibert; her brother, David Gonzalez (and wife Karen); sister's, Adele (and husband Scott Schilder), Eve (and husband Jefferson) Hannah, and Rebecca Kruwell; and several nieces and nephews.
Gail was preceded in death by her parents, Ramon and Patricia Gonzalez.
In accordance with Gail's wishes, her earthly body was cremated and a Celebration of Life will be held at the Baymont INN & Suites in Manistee, Michigan on Friday, May 15, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. Her brother-in-law, Pastor Scott Schilder, to officiate at the memorial.
