Elizabeth Ann Anderson, age 79 of Manistee, died Saturday, July 6, 2024, at her home surrounded by family.

She was born on April 20, 1945, in Manistee, the daughter of the late William & Verna (Strzyzewski) Minster. She was a graduate of Onekama High School Class of 1963. She married Louis Oscar Anderson, Jr. on July 24, 1965. They were married in ceremonies at Niagara Falls and Trinity Lutheran Church in Onekama. He preceded her in death on February 6, 2015.

Betty had been employed as a bar tender at the American Legion Post #10 in Manistee and Manistee Elks Lodge #250. She also had been employed in the deli at Eberhard's and as a teller at Manistee Bank & Trust.

At various times in her life, she held memberships in the auxiliaries of the American Legion, VFW, Moose, Elks, & Civic Club. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren and was an avid gardener.

Survivors include her three children Connie (Brian Bush) Anderson of Stronach, Lisa (Steve) Bernatche of East Lake, and Brian (Amy) Anderson of Midland, MI; 8 grandchildren Danny, Bethany, Sarah, Dustin, Brennan, Courtney, Austin, and Dillon; 2 great grandchildren Elizabeth & Rowan; and two brothers Henry (Mary) Minster of Manistee and Harold (Karen) Minster of Portage, MI.

She was also preceded in death by one brother William Minster, Jr.

Memorial Services will be held Monday, July 15, 2024, at 11:00 AM at the Oak Grove Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Manistee with Pastor Dennis Rahn officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10:00 AM until the time of service. A Celebration of Life will follow the service at VFW Walsh Post #4499.
